Look on the bright side it's not listed in the discontinued models. As I suspected the demand for all their new products has overwhelmed their production capacity. I guessed that it's going to be one of the first products produced in the new factory a year from now.

I wonder if Mackie is filing a lawsuit. It wouldn't be the first time.

Actually there was this post on Sound Forums Network last month from a Behringer dude:

Quote
Dear All,
The iX16 has gone through a major redesign, adding many new features. These exciting enhancements have delayed release and as such we do not have a ship date currently available. However we promise you that the wait will be worth it! Thanks for your patience.

From behringer re ix16:

"The iX16 has gone through a major redesign, adding many new features. These exciting enhancements have delayed release and as such we do not have a ship date currently available. However we promise you that the wait will be worth it! Thanks for your patience."

And:

"please wait until Namm. You will be surprised..."

I am sure they are redesigning it to reflect the current state of the iPad. They are probably also reading comments about the dl1608s limitations and trying to make sure they improve on them. I wouldn't be suprised if they have visited this forum and mackies uservoice. It would only be smart of them to do so.

Kinda old news they're just removing the old trial balloon iX16. Back in October Uli hinted at this carefully.

Re: Uli Behringer of The Music Group Q&A
    Dear William,
We have decided to redesign the iX16 and make fundamental changes based on very valuable customer feedback. However at this stage we are not able to talk about it in more detail.
While we understand that there are many customers waiting for the iX16, once the unit will be released, I am sure you will agree that it was worth the wait. With the exception of the iX16, we have now concluded the shipment of all other X32 mixers which we introduced at Namm 2013.
Our German engineering team is feverishly working on the new and very powerful 2.0 firmware upgrade for the X32 Series and we hope to show a Beta version at Namm.
    Warm regards

    Uli

So at NAMM 2014 we will see the new iX16 (maybe?). I'm waiting for a reply to my follow up on this. Responses are hit and miss with Uli.

Further to my previous post..........
Mackie delayed some software and got roasted.
I'm waiting curiously to see the backlash, or lack thereof, after this merry dance.
Anybody got their X32 rack yet?

BTW RR, love the post title

Not a peep - a global outpouring of indifference about the demise of the "DL killer".
Maybe the DL with MF2.0 has become the "iX16 killer"?

I'm hoping that Mackie is working on an X32 Rack killer :) .

I think I already listed what I hate about the Rack, but:
I want no controls on it and all inputs on the front, outputs are OK on the back for me although on the front even better.
Shrinking it down to 2U would be awesome :).
20 XLR/combo ins and 10 XLR outs would be fine :) .

You two guys are going to have a long wait. Mackie had a shot at a rack configuration of the DL1608 instead they came out with the DL806 abomination. The current hardware in the DL1608 could easily fit into a 2 or 3U rack but it would have cost about the same so as not to compete with themselves they opted for half capable unit at the same size IMHO. Dumb is all I can say. Probably from the same marketing team of one that thinks psychedelic weirdos are their customers. Don't bring up that $100 rack mount option.
What year for Christmas were you hoping for?? Would a spay can of paint and a Mackie sticker do the job?
