Fruit Flies gather round
« on: July 05, 2015, 03:37:10 AM »
For those having WiFi connect difficulties perhaps some of these situations apply to you. Read on I'm sure you'll be amazed at some of Apple's treatment of customers around the globe.

I have a iPad 3 and a 2.4 gig only router (D-Link 655) and have had none of these issues, dumb luck I guess. ;D

I am glad I got rid of my express router, I do like my pad air I , in a quirky low memory no usb type of way, but I don't think I will buy another  when it croaks, when that sad day comes I will rid myself of the dreaded I tunes too.

Never had issues with my Airport Express.  Am I just one of the lucky ones? :)

Airport Express has been working just fine and I'm running both bands.  (I have an iphone 4S which can't do 5 Ghz that is used as another monitor control.)

Hi guys

Maybe if the Dl had the direct ethernet via cable  and simultaneous wi fi control  from a different platform options like berry x users, you might have had  a different experience,

I think the existence of a single wan port on the express  does not help x air users.

Easy enough to add a cheap 5 port Ethernet switch between the X-Air and Express to give you more ports 8) .

Even easier if you buy a quality dual frequency router with the usual 4 LAN ports. ::)

Gee, with phenominal performance from all these people posting about their more than happy experience with the Airport Express,
and for me having over two years and about 150 jobs, I guess I better go to Best Buy and get a "quality" router since WK thinks the
Apple Airport Express is just a piece of junk because he hates Apple.

I don't like everything about Apple either, but their products are wonderful in my opinion.
Opinions, just likes yours are like butt holes.....
WK... I hope you enjoy your "quality" router and the other things connected to all those WAN ports.

We already know there are others that are upset that they have to have an Apple product to use these mixers.  That's a pity.  Generally Apple products are pretty good.  Nothing is perfect and my own experience with my Wife's android phone leads me to never want that.  The Windows phone is pretty good.  (Close to functionality of an iphone.)  If every piece of software was cross platform, everyone could use whatever hardware they wanted to.   I suspect that would come with a huge price tag.

Dpdan what is that old saying "ignorance is bliss" and you have a lot of bliss. I doubt you ever had to deal with Apple or some of their computers/network products. They are considered overpriced middle of the road performers in the network world. If you want to label that "junk" that's your opinion.
