Can I Lock Down an Ipad
« on: July 25, 2015, 04:20:16 PM »
I would like to be able to let band members use their ipads for control of their monitor mix but I can't find a way to lock them down in Master Fader like I can in My Fader.  Is it possible?  I am running the last Master Fader 3. something but haven't upgraded to the new release from this week.

you are correct, there is no way to lock out Master Fader, but of course you can with My Fader as you already know.

in the app store in the upper left-hand corner is a selection of just iPad apps,
click on that,.... then choose iPhone,

then download My Fader 3 for iPhone and it will run on the iPad so you can set access limits and lock their iPads from accidentally messing with the wrong mix.
I highly suggest downloading and installing Master Fader 3.2.1.

You can set access limit with passcpde in Master Fader , pres the wheel in top bar select access limits set it up selct the open pad lock to the right set the passcpde , the wheel to the left gives you all on /all off
If in doubt ask

+1, as Topsøe says you can set the same access limits in MasterFader on iPad as you can in MyFader on the iPhone.

I would suggest that you lock out the things you don't want them messing with, but with respect to your bandmates, don't put a password on it until they prove they can't be trusted to leave it alone.
