What’s your Christmas Gear Wish List for Under the Tree this year?

Here’s my wishful list:

Take the best of the DL32 and ProDX Series and create a small format DL1608 box type mixer with:

Built in dual band wireless with MIMO Antennas (amp up the range a bit too)
Long Range Blue Tooth. Why not, if it’s a wish list?
Ethernet connection to use with your laptop or Mac
Which leads to MF ported or revised to run on multiple platforms
Video out in VGA and or, HDMI to connect to touch screen monitor(s)
USB or SD Card 2 channel audio player with multi format playback with easy to use transport controls
16 track minimum audio recording capability in an easy to store and edit format
100% completely wireless controlled preamps (like DL32)
A dock for your tablet of choice with charging and direct connection to the mixer
Keep MF a great, easy to use app!

I really don't want much this Christmas, do I?

"RME WAV File Batch Processor" does the conversion quickly and easily AFAIK?

we have been over this a ton of times, converting the multichannel wav with RME or Wave Agent is not the problem,
the problem is all the fricken time it takes to drag all these converted files and stitch them together in the DAW.
A royal pain in the BUTT, so painful I choose not to use the recording to hard drive "feature" with the DL32R.
I find it much more sensible and easy to just connect my laptop and let Digital Performer record all 32 channels.
After the gig is over, my DP project is ready to mix. There are those who complain about having to bring a laptop and leave it sitting around.
If you have to leave your entire sound system unattended, use a Kensington lock or simply take the laptop with you when you go get something to eat before the gig. 
When I consider all the other equipment I rolll in and set up,,,, a laptop and a USB cable is nothing.

What do you mean by "stitch them together"? The RME utility generates one file for each track if you use it properly.

If only my 65 pound speakers would put themselves on and off the stands, everything else would be soooo much easier. I do like the transporter idea though!

My 65 lb Behringer B412DSP's loaded themselves into storage and replaced themselves with 27 lb RCF-310A's a few years back .

WOW! Lovely speakers! Wish we could get them in Toronto.  Also on my wish list is the RCF M18 digital mixer too. Same thing, can't get in Toronto as of yet. Maybe one day! Ah well! 

Oops! Just did some research and one place has them here at AVShop.ca. They retail for about $788.00 CDN. Not too bad at all.

No M18 yet, but they can probably order if necessary.

Okay so they're are added to the wish list.    Of course when I become rich, LOL!

Something like a two-rack space DL24/12, with 20~24 XLR inputs and 10~12 XLR outputs, still with 32 mix channels and returns.

Fader linking:
On my old Yamaha 01V96 and LS9 you could link output faders.
For instance, you have subwoofers, center-fills and delay-fills, all on aux sends.
Link the L/R master fader and the masters for these aux sends, and
as you raise/lower the L/R master, all signals go up and down in together.
A DCA on the Mackies does essentially the same thing, but that's one more fader taking up space in a fader view.

Only eight XLR inputs and phantom on only eight inputs would not work for me, except for something like a talking-heads gig.
No parametric on L/R outs?  For me, that's a fail.

You can use the Matrix ! Send L/R or L or R to a matrix or a number of Matrix's set the levelfor that output  and it will follow your L/R

Hey Weogo!

I have rather meager needs for a digital mixer. I don't run more than 5 or 6 mics at a time. Probably should've originally got a DL806, but when I got my original 1608 it was a good price. But if I move on, 8 XLR would be just fine for me, hence the potential for an M18. The built in dual band wireless is a pretty good incentive too!

But only when I'm rich. LOL!

Yep, matrix outs are good for some sends.
Except the subwoofers-on-an-aux mix is quite different from the L/R, and the delay-fill send often has a bit more vocals than instruments.

KM, thanks for the M18 clarification.  If you go this route, please report back on how it works.
I can see how the built-in wireless would work for musicians on-stage.  For me mixing in the hall
having a separate router up high gives me a longer range.
