Thanks for setting this up RR! I have a hunch that we've seen the last of the 'official' forum. Mackie posted this on Facebook earlier today ...

You will note that the Mackie forums remain down. We are working now to implement a modern knowledge base solution that will replace the Mackie forums. We will communicate more as new information arises.

Anyway ... I appreciate your giving us newly orphaned forum folks a new place to hang out!

 :)

Ha ha, you beat me there but I didn't see yours until I posted mine. FYI all first posts are on moderation to keep the spammers out but once your first post has been approved you are no longer on moderation and don't have to jump through hoops to post :)

Yeah, I was kinda thrown by that… had to remind myself that I'm a bass mutant (2 6-string axes, one without frets)

Maybe I should change the question to "How many frets are on a bass"?

Anyways welcome all :) !

Everyone knew about the Yahoo group at least, and could easily find their way here from there. Dunno why Lee and Jerry and the others haven't shown up yet. Maybe they just lost interest. I can "see" quite a few folks reading the posts here that haven't registered. There are 4 right now, as many as 9 today at one point :) .

I doubt they lost interest, the Indians will find their way, LOL
Did you see the post Mackie put on FB today about major bugs and pushing back 1.4 and My Fader without a new release time?

I put five strings but I knew I should have put down 4  :)

Thanks Road Ranger,,
I am so disappointed with Mackie's decisions about the forum.
I really think they thought that a number of posters there were from Behringer.

I think it came down to the fact that they don't have the staff to take care of the forums. Towards the end we were going two weeks between posts from Mackie in "our" DL1608 forum :( . Hopefully enough of the old crew have made their way here that we can recover the more helpful hints & kinks from the old forum :) .
