Nice, that's a lot more secure than the Mackie hard shell case for the DL which retails here for almost $90.00 CDN.

Very similar to mine, I had an old Pelican case that has had multiple purposes over the years, with most of the foam removed it turned out to be a perfect fit for the dL. I kept the top foams from the original packaging and use them on top of the DL.

Here's my case. EWI briefcase with removable lid from audiopile.net

T'is on here elsewhere but

The DL is bolted to a home made panel in the lid and what would be the bottom of the box lifts off.

I've been toying around with the thought of finding a small case that this little unit might fit into...

Is this to be used as a stage box connected to FOH via multiple ribbon cables to xlr turnarounds?

What are the four ribbons at the back ?

Do these relate to the redundant iPod dock?

Not sure what the 5 ribbons do. but the wire hanging out at the to of the picture is for the iPad dock. I can see how easy it is to change from the 30 pin connector to the lightning as just two screws hold the connector board in place and the connector you see hanging in the picture connects to that small board. Since I rarely dock any of my iPads, I would really like to see a smaller case for this unit that makes it more like a stage box. It would be cool to see an aftermarket case that you could fit the DL into in this partially disassembled state since it could easily be put back into the original case for sale.

' not sure what the 5 ribbons do'

Are you serious or is this a joke. The reason I ask is that for
any of us who have disassembled a DL it should be rather obvious
that those connect to the MAIN CPU board. So what gives?

Oh, OK. Cured by painting perforated screen black.

first thing I did to that hideous looking 1608 was to paint the front grill black.
