I'm still searching for a Bluetooth app that takes a lapel mic into the iPhone headphone/mic jack and sends it out on the Bluetooth channel, that works (minor requirement). Anyone use one?
Did you try this one?
https://itunes.apple.com/tw/app/talkback-mic/id480263826
He did add airplay support at my request a while back - don't see why it wouldn't output to bluetooth? If not maybe he'd add that if you ask :) .

Could this be used as an ambient mic to be mixed in to  a channel then to an aux for in ears?

in this case, always on top should be an option.  I wouldn't place it there.  (Don't use very much effects.)  Maybe make it part of the overview page?

Sorry you have misunderstood me, I think  an always on top option should have been included from day one to allow transport controls for the musical content stored on the pad,

To create a product for iPad and ignore its playback capabilities, madness,

Just as omitting a quick fx mute option for people with busy hands is,

Thanks for the lead unfortunately his latest release improvement was to remove airplay code, go figure.  :(
I don't have any bluetooth receivers so don't know if it will still work with bluetooth? I've emailed him as I was the one who originally talked him into adding airplay :) .

OK, the author of the TalkBack app is updating the app and will make sure it works with AirPlay. He actually didn't remove support for it, only the out-of-date instructions for using airplay on the old iOS's. But looks like iOS 8 broke it :( .

iOS 8 didn't break the talkback app, Airplay has never worked with it  :(

I have pleaeded with him to incorporate Airplay functionality, the fact that the latest version doesn't even have an icon indicates he doesn't care about Airplay.  :(

I would cheerfully pay him PayPal if Airplay worked.

Ahhh... that ain't how airplay works in the latest iOS's. You have to "pull up" the iOS control panel, that's where the airplay stuff is for all apps that use it. I can get to the airplay setting in his app but it doesn't show my airplay receiver in it (I'm using Shairport4w on my Win7 laptop).

I know how to swipe up to get to the airplay choices and iTunes plays fine but there is no choice in the talkback app to tell it to route audio to airplay.
I also have the iPhone mic enabled for the Talkback app.
It's just no good for airplay, when did you talk to Mark recently? So he said he IS going to get airplay to work?

That would be cool!

So let me get this straight.

This app will allow you to use your iphone as a talkback mic. Very cool.

It's really meant to use in a studio with a wired output from the earphone socket. With airplay you'll be able to use it wirelessly - but the built-in mic isn't really suitable for use in a noisy environment plus you need an airplay receiver. If you do have an airplay receiver you're more likely to want to use it for break music I'd think? I also suspect there is a fair amount of latency involved with airplay making it unsuitable for usage live aside from talkback?

Thanks Ron.

I think airplay has at least a couple of seconds latency.  :(
