I may have to go to one of our AES meetings and ask Tom Lee what's going on. They were also about 3 yrs. behind. ::)

I won't be there but it should be another interesting year. Midas's M32R looks quite interesting at hopefully the right price. Then of course there is Triple X from B.. What surprises in marketing are we in for there? Mackie of course is silent. Will there be a DL16R or just a bunch more mediocre speakers? QSC should have another model. A&H might just go for rack-mount stuff. Yamaha should be ready for some new gear from Line 6. Post any new-found previews here as you run across them.  :)

Almost 100 new products promised is unsustainable. Wonder how many are marketing tests. I once counted Music groups analog mixer selection and it was over 80. Is Uli trying to match that in digital? Two more days and the announcements at 11:00 AM.

Unfortunately a lot of people considering new equipment will be taken in by the Be****ger hype and will wait, and wait and wait. Often for products that will never see the light of day or are years away from production. (Anyone actually got an X16/18 yet - must be nearly two years since it was conceived?)
Distraction or misdirection, whichever it is, all the hype and bluff probably denies other companies sales so they'll probably keep doing it.

On the other hand it could also work against them by giving the competition time to come out with competing products. ;)

You must be prophetic! Looks like the competition is encroaching.

Yup isn't that what I said above that A&H had nowhere else to go but a rack version. I've yet to see a price or delivery before Be.. introduces the second generation of their X32 rack. In less than a day we'll see all the new and interesting ideas. My spies put in for overtime pay  ;).

One ups-man-ship is in full swing. Behringer second generation of X32 line the SD series is shown. Now a solution for the X32 core and of course the rest of the line.

Midas not to be outdone just about has all of the X32 line cloned or Bentley cloaked. Just need that X32R in the lot. :) There seems to be a big push on the Ultranet P series monitors systems going on.
