I don't think an iPad has enough umph to power Altiverb, even if it did, how would the Altiverb plugin be hosted?

That looks like a pretty decent reverb for $7.00. Wow!  :thu:

As a guy who mixes his band from the stage while also playing guitar I'd like to have a persistent tap tempo button again. It was there in a previous release but now it's buried in a sub menu that locks out everything else while it's open.

I guess with all the changes they made to the main screen, something had to give, unfortunately, and Tap Tempo wasn’t a major priority. Let’s hope Mackie is taking note for an update or MF 4. If you haven’t already, the Mackie Feature Request Page might be a good idea. There’s already a lot on Tap Tempo there now. It couldn’t hurt.   :)

An 'always on top' option maybe for those that use it lots.

I still insist that you need a top level FX mute, especially when trying to run sound while playing. And support for a (bluetooth ?) pedal for that as well. The MixWiz has this functionality - dunno why Mackie chose to go backwards on that :( .

Altiverb is worth Waaaay more than $600.00
it also allows the user to create their own Impulse Responses.

I'm pretty sure there are free ways to create IR's - but there are certainly a lot of IR's available on the web for free. Not too many of us have need to create new ones...

you are correct, there are tons of free IRs available but, typically that is what they're worth.
Making really good impulse responses requires exceptionally great gear and microphones, something most people don't have.

I do a lot of recording and it is nice to sample the room and get back to the studio with impulse responses of the same exact place where the concert or recording session took place.
I even made IRs of my old beloved Lexicon reverb so that if and when it goes poop, I will still have that awesome reverb at my disposal.

Altiverb is not for everyone, and if you do not do critical recording of string quartets, symphony orchestras, vocal groups, choirs and choruses, any decent reverb will sound good enough.

You can load your own ir files into altispace i havn't tried it yet but it looks doable , but the ir's supplied sound great with most of the classics covered
If in doubt ask

In response to the OP, every day that passes without the three issues having been implemented and/or improved upon IMHO only widens the sales gulf and contributes to the forum dry spell, evidenced with the new rumblings and offerings from the other Digital Audio Performance Mixer Gods, as well as the likes of Kev`s and WK`s attention focused on their new B-Toy`s.

Looks like an update of the previous Yamaha app for the LS9 that have been around for quite a while.
